The Independent Features YouSendIt

New_indy_logo3 The British national daily newspaper "The Independent" features YouSendIt today as "one of the best choices" to send large files. (British understatement would never allow to write "the best" ). The article differentiates between the feature set of YouSendIt and some of the other sites with similar offers who require waiting times until you can download a file. A reader to the Independent notes "that they [YouSendIt] seem to be leading to the death of the blank CD: "I used to get through so many, and in the last year I've probably only burned about four."

Office 2.0 and Beyond

YouSendIt recently was a gold sponsor for the first Office 2.0 Conference held in San Francisco. From the kick off event where Khalid Shaikh, co-founder of YouSendIt, rubbed elbows with other elite members of the Office 2.0 club, to the lively panel discussion featuring Ivan Koon, CEO of YouSendIt, sharing his vision and ideas about Office 2.0, YouSendIt made a big splash at the event.

Isabel Wang wrote a nice article about the advantages of YouSendIt over email for sending big files for her publication, the WHIR and Rafe Needleman of CNET put together a short video wrap up of the event featuring YouSendIt co-founder, Ranjith Kumaran. The best part was that the other sponsors got to experience the ease and simplicity of YouSendIt since the event organizer used a branded dropbox from YouSendIt for moving big files in the days and weeks leading up to the conference.
