YouSendIt is Page of the Day

"Would you believe us if we told you there’s a Web site that lets you send a file as large as 1GB, anytime, anywhere?" asks BIOS a UK-based online Magazine that "satisfies the needs and wants of IT product buyers who need a single information source." BIOS is clear about their mission: "Technology. Means. Business" and has been providing relevant information to small and medium businesses since 2003.

Yousendit "Would you believe?.." asks BIOS;  "Wait, don’t answer. What if we told you that you could send as many copies of the file as you like? Wait, don’t answer. What if we told you that it’s completely free? Sound too good to be true? Discard your flash drive and check out YouSendIt."

BIOS added the nice picture of a traditional red British post box (in the US: a mailbox). As you can see from the little sign on the post box, mail will be collected on Thursdays.  In case you don't want to wait, there is always YouSendIt.

"No passwords to share, no software to install, no accounts to create, and no full mailboxes. Does it get better than that?"

FASTSIGNS Makes Moving Big Files Easier With YouSendIt

“Prior to YouSendIt, we had a somewhat cumbersome process for sending files compared to the new process,” said Raj Croager, CIO for FASTSIGNS. “Customers had to install a File Transfer Protocol (FTP) client and we had to continuously walk both franchisees and customers through the whole FTP path for sending files. It was a big time sink for us and it caused unnecessary aggravation for both customers and franchisees.”

FASTSIGNS is recognized as the leader in the sign industry with over 500 franchises across 5 countries. They implemented the YouSendIt service and integrated YouSendIt's branded dropbox into their process for receiving big files from their customers. The results have been very positive.

“We wanted it out of our hands,” said Croager. “By outsourcing to a managed service like YouSendIt, we are saving in the neighborhood of $40-50K a year just on hardware and overhead savings. The most important thing is that we made it much easier for customers and franchisees. That trumps all savings by far.”
