there should be an option to send more than just one file at a time, or a folder. Otherwise this service is not GOOD!

I like your product and service, but there are a number of niggles that I have with it.

The most significant is that if a file I have uploaded has expired after its 2 week period, although I can still see it listed in my Sent Files, if I want to continue distributing it through YouSendIt, I have to upload it again.

Perhaps you could have the option to "re-send" files that are in the list, move the file to active again and generate a new link. (Yes, I think a new link is appropriate - I like the idea that people I have sent a link to only have a limited amount of time to respond, so they have to contact me again and I know if they have been slow: this would not be the case if the original link was kept active.)

The one file at a time limitation is only for the Lite users (free users). If you have a subscription, you can upload 5 files through the web application and unlimited number of files using our standalone application Express (free download available at http://www.yousendit.com/cms/plugins). Also Express for Windows supports sending the entire folder and file compression.

Good job, the website is so cool

We agree that once you’ve uploaded a file, you should be able to continue distributing it. We recently launched a new feature for paid users that allows them to set the file expiration to “Never expires” – so the file will be available for distribution until you delete it.

Additionally, we are currently working on the ability to “re-send” or “forward” files you’ve already uploaded, including generating a new link for the “re-sent” file. We hope to have this functionality soon, hopefully by early 2008. We greatly appreciate your comments and input, and hope you’ll continue to give us constructive feedback.

Excellent service overall. Some enhancements to your Dropbox should included a time/date stamp so we know when the file was uploaded. It would also be helpful to be able to limit the file types that can be uploaded. We have already had suspected viruses uploaded to our box. The service is very handy and does eliminate connection headaches involved with standard FTP servers. Thank you.

Thank you for your comments on the YouSendIt service. As a YouSendIt product manager I’m happy to tell you that both of the enhancements you suggested are on our roadmap for 2008. We really appreciate your feedback and we are working hard to enhance our service to serve you better. Please let us know if you have any additional thoughts or ideas.

Thanks,
Sara Akhavi, Product Manager
